AUTHENTICITY. HONOR AND PRIVILEGE.

Ramin Entry #39

27 December 2022 – 6 January 2023

No words can come close to justifying the feelings of this incredible honor and privilege to have been invited as a talk show guest for this amazing world platform that HIMSPI Jaya has established on YouTube. HIMPSI Jaya (Himpunan Psikologi Indonesia) is the Indonesian Board of Psychologist that governs, regulates, and issues licenses.

To make it more special, the live airing was a New Year’s gift from HIMPSI no less.

To have been recognized and chosen to deliver my story in such a profound way is a child’s dreams come true – not in a personal gratification kind of way, but as a validation of all the life struggles I’ve had to go through to have reached this juncture. It is a confirmation of the non-exclusivity of such struggles to my own life – that such experiences are also felt and shared by countless others and by not expressing them is not an indicator of their absence.

To have made this interview possible, I’ve had to go through many hurdles and darkness in my internal preparations – it was not just a walk in the park. Plus, the fact that this interview would be a marker of my coming out to the whole world and to my whole family; not just in a dress, but also as a virgin of full makeup.

This is only a summary of a small part of my true story. Much more intricate details amounted to that story, which I hope I will get the opportunity to share.

Trauma healing requires 100% dedication and determination. You have to intentionally choose to want it. It is a learning skill. It is a long and very difficult process that involves extreme heartaches and agonies. With tremendous bravery, courage, and self-compassion there’s a light of freedom at the end of the tunnel: an indescribable freedom that transcends all understandings and logic.

Acknowledgment, acceptance, and validation are at the top of a human’s basic needs. It is my aspiration that exposing my vulnerability as truthfully as I am capable would spark inspiration and learnings about the life and struggles of someone with experiences similar to mine. Hopefully, it could instill understanding, empathy, kindness, compassion, tolerance, support, and most importantly love – true authentic love

This journal chronicles my trauma-healing process and progress. If you’re interested to read in sequence in its entirety, you may jump directly from >here
