SECRET TO CHANGE
Ramin Entry #11
I believe this quote is not quite universally applicable.
To illustrate my thoughts in the analogy of a construction:
“Building the new” first requires demolishing “the old”. Pulling out, excavating, and extracting old foundations. Then flattening, levelling, and prepping the ground. Only then will you be able “to focus all of your energy” on anchoring new foundations to build atop of.
On the contrary, you will actually first have “to focus all of your energy” on the demolition, then find new energy to focus on “building the new”.

Could I be, let alone remain as a rabbit (Ramin Entry #4), without first letting go of the dog in me? To do so would be like constructing a beautiful palace on a wet sandy beach. With each gentle lick of the ocean, bits and pieces will be washed away slowly…but surely…when alas enters a violent lick of the ocean, shatters into smithereens inevitability will be. The superficial skin-deep beauty only awaits exposure of the filth underneath in a sad repertoire of erosions.
Here’s my version of the quote:
The secret to change is to focus all of your energy, to heal from the old and make peace with yourself, then build the new.
Awareness is key, for it is one of the most powerful and grounding tools we can equip ourselves with. It helps us be more self-aware as we develop more humility, compassion, empathy, and love for ourselves and others. Please be kind to yourself and others. God bless
